Updating Maxjournal from the App Store

You should ALWAYS follow these instructions during the process of updating Maxjournal (any app for that matter). We can't recommend these steps strongly enough - PLEASE FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS!

BEFORE UPGRADING: Backup Your Data (Journal Files)

You should always make a maxjournal backup file of your journals, and save them to your computer desktop. (See Backup and Restore.)

We have found that even with the smallest updates - where the code may have changed only slightly, and even have nothing to do with your journal data files - there is always a chance that the iPad will act strangely. Having a backup will allow you to recreate your journal if something goes wrong!
